The Beatles perform in the iconic Cavern Club on Mathew Street in one of the band’s first ever gigs with their new drummer Ringo Starr. Starr officially replaced Pete Best one week prior to the gig depicted in this image. Less than a year later the band would release their first studio album and go on to become the most successfully commercial music act in the world soon after.
