Stirling Moss is photographed on his way to winning the 1954 Daily Telegraph Trophy at Aintree Motor Racing Circuit. The Scotsman and his Maserati 250F bested future Formula 1 world champion Mike Hawthorn, taking the chequered flag by 14 seconds from his nearest rival. Moss was honoured with a Knighthood in 2000 for his service to motor racing.
